December 2020
Congratulations Dr. Balakrishnan and Lewis Adams for receiving the Henry Royce Equipment Access Schemes (Researcher and Student equipment scheme) to access the National Graphene Institute's devices fabrication facilities for a period of 4 weeks.
Dr. Balakrishnan gave an invited talk at the Physics and Astrophysics Research Seminars, Keele University on 16th of December 2020

Congratulations Dr. Nilanthy Balakrishnan for achieving the status of Fellow of Advanced Higher Education.
September 2020
Lewis Adams joined the group as a PhD Student. Lewis's project focuses on the Synthesis of 2D materials. Lewis will develop new methods to grow thin layers of different 2D materials.
April 2020
Dr. Balakrishnan and her collaborators published an article entitled "Imaging shape and strain in nanoscale engineered semiconductors for photonics by coherent x-ray diffraction" in Nature Group Journal, Communications Materials. Congratulations to all authors.
January 2020
Congratulations Dr. Balakrishnan and all the co-authors for publishing a review article on the overview of the main techniques for the production and processing of graphene and related materials (GRMs), as well as the key characterization procedures.
